2008 Edition of X5.5 Desk/Table Standard Approved by ANSI and Released for Distribution

ANSI has approved the new edition of ANSI/BIFMA X5.5 Desk Table Products standard, and copies of the new edition are available from BIFMA immediately.  The BIFMA Desk Subcommittee worked diligently to harmonize this new edition of X5.5 Desk/Table Products with other ANSI/BIFMA Standards such as ANSI/BIFMA X5.9-2004 Storage Units, ANSI/BIFMA X5.6-2003 Panel Systems and ANSI/SOHO 6.5-2001 Small Office Home Office.  The definitions, test set-ups, test procedures, load applications, etc. have been modified for consistency among these standards.
